Casey coming back to defend her title in 2010:

Last years female champion is already in training for this years competition. The press have hounded her looking to get the inside story! see attached for one such story.

Everything Flowing Nicely:

Well the time is nearly upon us. The training and preparations are well under way. The course is looking good and the weather forecast is looking pretty good too. So make sure your ready for a good days craic, be as early as you can as the event starts at 12 noon.

Remember too that we will have a bit of a bash later in the evening at Watters Old Coach Inn with a few suprises!!

 

Northern Ireland Bog Snorkelling 2009

Declan entered the Northern Ireland Bog Snorkelling event and came 8th. He along with John Toland and Ignatius McKinney also entered the relay event. (more info)

 

 

 

 

 

 

Old Coach Inn - another sponsor for the Event

Official Launch of Bog Snorkelling Event

On Wed 8th July 2009 the official launch of the bog snorkelling event took place. Local poloticians and dignitaries enjoyed the craic as Declan and John posed in the bog for the upcoming press release! (more info)

 

 

 

 

Declan visits Smarmore Castle Training Camp!

Smarmore Castle have offered great prizes for the winners of the Ladies and Mens competition, 2 nights B+B for two for the fastes times in each event. Last friday we visited their leisure centre for a spot of training! (more info)

 

 

 

 

Hen Party Picks Weekend Bog Snorkelling in Ireland

 

A group of 24 English "Hens " from Dorset have booked into Alice's Loft & Cottages for the weekend
and have based their Hen Party around the Bog Snorkelling Competition.

They thought the whole idea to be great fun ,different and with the great atmosphere around our
Irish Pubs ,they just had to be part of it all
.

Julia Galvin - Training for Australia

We had a welcome visitor over the weekend - Julia Galvin who was the World Mountain Bike Bog Snorkelling Champion in 2004 used the bog to put in a spot of training before she heads off to Australia to compete in the Dirtndust Bog Snorkelling Champioship She is going there to represent Ireland in this famous outback event. While the weather should be a lot warmer than it was over the weekend we would like to wish here the best of luck and we know she will do us proud.

All Ireland Championships.

We are inviting participants from all over Ireland to take part to find out who is the Irish champion and judging from my video you have a lot to beat, I plan on winning the title.
