The 2nd Irish Bog Snorkelling Championships will be held on

Saturday 11th September 2010

The event promises to be even bigger and better than last year and what a day we had!!

Blayney Bog Snorkelers to appear on RTE 2's THE DEN.

This Friday on RTE 2 's THE DEN you will get a glimpse of the craic that is "The Irish Bog Snorkelling Championships". This new and unique event was the idea of Local man Declan Connolly of Alice's Loft & Cottages Self- Catering and Louth man John Mc Keown of Look Around Ireland. The lads decided to bring a bit of fun and craic to Castleblayney and their first competition last September was a huge success.

Their event is gathering interest both nationally and internationally,so much so that  THE DEN from RTE 2 contacted the lads, to film their presenter  Rob  Ross trying his luck in the bog.Ross and local girl Orlaith McGuire were filmed taking tips from the lads and eventually had a race in the bog to see who was the fastest.
